Overview

The Library Service at Ulster University is integral to delivering the core business functions of high-quality learning, teaching, and research. The aim of this session is to provide supervisors with an overview of Library services and resources available to support their PhD Researchers.

By the end of the session the audience will know more about the specialist support that teams across the campuses can offer, including Subject Librarian support and Open Research support.

They will be made aware of the Library services available to support PhD Researchers such as Sconul Access and Library Link: CONUL Access Scheme and have a greater understanding of the Library resources available to PhD Researchers including subject specific databases, special collections, eTheses and RefWorks.

Intended Audience

This workshop is open to all PhD Supervisors who would like to support their PhD Researcher in writing the thesis. It is also open to those who wish to be appointed as PhD supervisors at Ulster.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this session, participants will understand what library resources and services are available to PhD researchers.
