The PVC Research & Impact is responsible for developing and leading our research and impact strategies ensuring that Ulster University achieves its research targets, and that our research informs our teaching and benefits society locally and globally.
The PVC is supported by a Executive Manager and Executive Assistant.
Tester
The Doctoral College is responsible for the Management and Development of Postgraduate Research at Ulster University; Administration of new Programmes and Research Studentships and Management of the Researcher Development Programme.
The Innovation & Enterprise team supports the development of Research Impact at Ulster University. It manages knowledge exchange, consultancy and KTP projects and supports the commercialisation of research.
The Research Development team is responsible for horizon scanning for funding opportunities.It provides support within Faculties to ensure high quality applications including costing and promotes interdisciplinary projects.
The Research Governance team is responsible for the Management of Research Regulation, Governance and Ethics; Intellectual Property Management and Protection and Internal Research Risk and Audit Management.
The Research Management team is responsible for Post Award Research Contract Management, Management of Research Finance and Administration of Research Grant Claims.
The Research Performance team is responsible for the Management of the Research Excellence Framework (REF); Research Strategy and Performance Management and Management of Research Systems and Research Data.
