You will learn about cutting-edge technologies and large language models such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude 3 and Copilot(s) and the opportunities and challenges of using these technologies practically and ethically.
Understand how these tools and natural language processing capabilities enable personalized and interactive learning experiences through a series of keynotes, talks, discussion panels and hands on workshops, practitioner showcases and networking events with leading academics, researchers and industry experts in this area.
The National Conference on Generative Artificial Intelligence in Education is funded by the Garfield Weston Trust.

9am - 11.15am | WORKSHOP A: Beginner’s Guide to AI Dr Louise Drumm (Edinburgh Napier University) This workshop will get you up and running in trying out a variety of generative AI tools. You will be provided with links and materials to adapt for your own purposes, to help get acquainted with generative AI tools, and consider if and how you may incorporate using them into your everyday life, whether professional or personal. Note: In this course you will be encouraged to sign-up for a few generative AI tools so you can become familiar with them, their differences and limitations. Some of these tools require your personal details such as an email address and a mobile phone number to create an account and access the tool. Before signing up for any third-party tool, please carefully read its privacy policy. If you would prefer not to register with any of these tools, please let the workshop organisers know in advance. |

Registration for the National Conference on Generative Artificial Intelligence in Education Conference (GenAiEdu June 2024) is now open.
Registration cost
The conference starts with optional workshops on Wednesday June 26th , with the main conference taking place on Thursday 27th and Friday 28th June .
The workshop(s) have no additional fee to attend, however workshop attendee numbers are limited and pre-registration is mandatory.
There is a reception and networking event at the Bishops Gate Hotel on the evening of Thursday 27th June (TBC)

After this date no refunds are available but registration transfers will be considered on an individual and case by case basis.
