“I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your generous sponsorship of our stethoscopes. It is truly special that the first stethoscope of my career comes as a gift from the supporters of the University where I am training.
Your support means a great deal to me and my peers. It inspires us to stay motivated and committed to achieve our goals so that we too can give back to the community in the future.
Thank you once again for your kindness.”

Stethoscope Appeal 2024
Thank you for helping us reach our target!
Thanks to the incredible generosity of supporters of the School of Medicine, we have been able to supply each and every one of our 64 new medical students with their very own Littman Classic III Stethoscope. Together we raised an incredible £5,760 which will give our students the best possible start on their journey to becoming the next generation of healthcare workers in Northern Ireland.
Each stethoscope was accompanied by a message from our supporters which will spur them on through the most difficult times in their studies. Your kindness and belief in our medical students will translate into their future practice, creating a brighter future not only for our students but for the patients they will one day serve.

“For my role emerging placement I worked in a primary school in Kumasi, Ghana. We worked with the teachers to promote an understanding of occupational therapy and how they could help to better accommodate the children with additional needs.
This experience consolidated to me what a real difference my job can make to people’s lives and I left feeling really proud of the profession I have chosen. This was an incredible, once in a lifetime experience that was greatly helped by my travel scholarship.”
