We are inviting all Psychology graduates and former staff (plus a guest) to join us for an in-person 50th birthday party on our Coleraine campus to celebrate our alumni and the contributions they have made to society over the last half century.

Please help us by sharing this invite with any Ulster Psychology graduates you are still in touch with and encourage them to register.
Remember also to consider sharing any old photographs, videos or memorabilia from your time as a student so we can add them to the display, please send these to psychology@ulster.ac.uk

3 pm – 4.20pm | Brief presentations by distinguished psychology alumni: Professor Niamh Stack - Deputy Head and Director of Teaching and Learning of the School of Psychology, University of Glasgow, and Research Director for the Scottish Network for Able Pupils, is active in research on the area of high ability/giftedness and development, difference and diversity. The current Chair of the British Psychological Society’s Education and Training Board and more informally, she has an active profile on social media. Dr Eugene Mooney - Director of Information and Analysis, Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety, was named AIB/Ulster University Distinguished Graduate of the Year 2021. He first graduated from Ulster University Jordanstown in 1986 and later went on to complete a DPhil in Psychology in 1993. Through roles at NISRA, he has made many contributions to the development of public policy over his 30 years of public service, and recently had even further impact in response to the Covid19 Pandemic where he managed the Department of Health’s COVID-19 daily Statistical Dashboard. Dr Michael Paterson - Former police officer who served within the Royal Ulster Constabulary during the conflict years. Following an IRA rocket attack on his armoured police Land Rover, when he sustained significant and life-changing injuries, he completed a Psychology degree at Ulster before training and practising as a clinical psychologist. He is dedicated to encouraging people to achieve what they are truly capable of through speaking at events to motivate and inspire others to reach their highest levels of achievement. |
