Ordinance and regulations

The Office of the University Secretary is responsible for ensuring that the Charter, Statutes, Ordinances and Regulations are adhered to and for introducing modifications to the Ordinances and Regulations when appropriate.

The Office of the University Secretary handles a wide range of correspondence with a legal context in relation to educational, consultancy, student discipline and other services often involving formal links with clients and institutions both at home and overseas.

It also ensures that the provisions of the Data Protection Act and the Freedom of Information Act are observed.

However Estates Services deals directly with the University Solicitors on property matters, and similarly People & Culture deals directly with the University Solicitors on matters related to staff and employment.
