The intention of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act is to promote a greater degree of openness amongst public authorities by providing people with rights of access to information held by public authorities.
This is done either through the University Publication scheme, or by making a written request (email or postal) for the information sought if it is not included in the Publication Scheme.
The University may not be able to provide all information requested because the information is covered by exemptions of disclosure; if this is the case then we will inform you of this and the exemptions applied.
Under the FOI Act the University is required to provide details of all FOI requests that it has received for the previous three years.
The tables below document the nature and outcome of each FOI request from 1 January 2016 to present.
Copies of FOI responses are available upon request to the Office of the University Secretary at: foi@ulster.ac.uk quoting the specific request reference taken from the tables below.
